If the Assignment is new and there is no timesheet activity (so all timesheets are still Open) it is possible to reset the timesheet template by using the Clear Timesheets option within the Main Details page of the Assignment Entry, then change the Time Template to the desired cycle and update the Assignment:
This will clear down any previously generated timesheets and new timesheets will be created based on the new time template.
If however timesheet activity has already begun and timesheets have been received or processed then the following procedure should be followed:
Set the original assignment's end date to the end date of the last processed timesheet, set any remaining timesheets attached to the assignment as 'cancelled' then click Terminate to close the assignment.
You can then either create a new assignment with the correct cycle or you can 'copy' the original one (this is useful if the rates and other settings are the same) and then amend the Time template cycle to the desired cycle as above.
Alternatively it is possible to change the Timesheet Template on an existing assignment but the system will not regenerate timesheets retrospectively based on a new template, so some manual intervention will be required to ensure the timesheets are correct. Any existing timesheets will need to be cancelled and then manually created using the 'Create a Candidate Timesheet' option within the Timesheet menu. The system will generate new timesheets moving forward based on the current timesheet template. With this in mind most customers prefer to terminate the assignment and create a new one based on the new template.
