Firstly you need to ensure you have a suitable Rate Code set up on your system to represent the Stand By rate. Rate Types for these can be either Stand By Units (which is good for Days) or Stand By Hours, so you will need to choose the appropriate one. You can enter the Rate Code Description to suit your requirements but it is important to remember these descriptions appear on the Sales Invoice:
Next you will need to go to the Assignment Entry Costing’s page to set up the rates.
This example shows an hourly Assignment with a Stand By rate as a daily amount:
You will need to set the 'Rate Rule' to Candidate Entered Units as above which means the candidate will be able to see and select each rate as appropriate. Here is how the above example would appear to the candidate on their portal when they complete a timesheet:
So with this example the candidate has worked 7.5 hours of their Ordinary Time which is an hourly rate, plus they have entered 1 unit of Stand By which would equate to 1 day of the Stand By amount. If they worked half a day of Stand By they could enter 0.5 as the unit amount.
