How do I delete a Permanent Assignment?

Sometimes you will receive error messages when trying to delete an assignment:

An error occurred during the delete. The error was: Assignment has active timesheets and cannot be deleted.

An error occurred during the update. The error was: Cannot change status for timesheet that has been invoiced or paid.

An error occurred during the delete. The error was: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

First you will need to delete any documents attached in the Documents tab.

Then see if the timesheet attached is at an Open status, if it’s not, please click Re-open and then click to confirm the reopen - 

Once you have clicked ‘Reopen’  you can go back to the Assignment Entry page where you will be able to delete the Permanent Assignment.
