If the change control / placement approval workflow is NOT used within Bullhorn, a new assignment is the only option for extensions and rate changes.
If the placement approval workflow is in place the following process can be used:
1. A change must be made to the field mapping for start date and timesheet start date within ETZ. The effective start date needs to be used as the start date of the assignment. Any new placement that is not an extension must copy the actual start date to the effective start date. The effective start date should also be mapped to the timesheet start date.
2. Create a change request workflow on Bullhorn the following field MUST BE UPDATED. The Effective Start Date reflects the changed start date and end date reflects the new end date.
3. The Account / Admin Team must have final approval of the placement change.
a. Before approving the placement in bullhorn they must update the assignment in ETZ with a new Id. I suggest adding a .1 to the end of the Id (See example) if it is the first update .2 if it’s the second update and so on.
b. At the same time the old assignment End Date must be update to reflect the starting of the new assignment. This will clean up any timesheets that have been created.
4. In Bullhorn the change request can now be approved and it will flow into ETZ as a new Assignment.
