HMRC are requesting mandatory information for the section 16 report. This information can be stored within Etz and then used on the report.
Candidate Entry Screen.
The candidates first name and last name are mandatory, a middle name is optional.
The Gender field must be populated along with the Date of Birth in DD/MM/YYYY format if you do not have a National Insurance number.
Address lines 1 and 2 and Postcode are mandatory.
The National Insurance number is stored in the named field Super/Ni No and must be completed if you do not have a date of birth and gender.
Supplier Entry Screen
Company name is Mandatory if the intermediary didn't operate PAYE
Address lines 1 and 2 and Postcode are mandatory if the intermediary did not operate PAYE
Workers engagement details are mandatory where the intermediary did not operate as PAYE. This information will be stored in the Worker Engagement Type drop-down field and the HMRC accepted values for this field are: Self Employed Contractor (A), Partnership (B), Limited Liability Partnership (C), Limited Company (D), Non UK Engagement (E), PAYE Operated by Another Party (F)
If more than one option applies select the option that appears highest on the list. For example, if ‘Self Employed Contractor’ and ‘Non UK Engagement’ both apply, then you should select ‘Self Employed Contractor’.
If this information is not entered the default setting in the Worker Engagement Type field, and subsequently on the HMRC report, will be ‘Limited Company’.
Workers' unique tax payer reference number (UTR) is required if the Worker Engagement Type is 'Self Employed Contractor' 'A', 'Partnership' 'B' or 'Limited Liability Partnership' 'C'
The company’s house registration number is also required if the Worker Engagement Type is 'Limited Company'.
