ETZ can send SMS messages when certain email messages are triggered from the system. For example when inviting a new user to join ETZ, an email is sent to the user with an invitation, when this message is triggered, an SMS is sent at the same time. SMS is not automatically switched on for all customers, If you are interested in using this feature, please raise a support ticket. Additional costs may apply to use this feature.
SMS messages can only be sent to candidates, agency staff users and agency staff consultants (for example when adding a new agency user in the user entry screen or adding an agency consultant, or sending timesheet reminders to candidates) The mobile phone number field in candidate/consultant/agency user will need to have a valid phone number and must be entered in the format of +44, as show below –
A valid email address must also be used, if the email address is not valid, neither the email address or the SMS message will be sent.
The following ETZ messages will trigger an SMS as well as an email, if a valid phone number has been entered into the relevant field.
- Timesheet chaser
- Timesheet authorised
- Timesheet rejected
- Documents require signing reminder
- Documents require upload reminder
- User invite
The message body of each of the above messages can be amended, this can only be done by ETZ support. Please raise a support ticket and supply the text that you would like included in the SMS. There is a character limit of 1600 characters.
If your ETZ messages are set to manual release, you will need to release these messages from the email message settings, this will release the SMS and the email message –
